MegaBee™ was developed and now provides beekeepers with a tool to build their colonies populations in preparation for pollination, honey production, queen rearing or simply improving hive vigor. |
In 2003, the need for a better diet product was raised by both the American Honey Producers and the American Beekeeping Federation at their national meetings. Proponents of better honeybee nutrition cite researchers who have demonstrated that stronger colonies are better crop pollinators and honey producers because they can send more bees into the field to forage and the presence of brood in the colony stimulates pollen foraging (Hoopingarner and Waller 1992, Erber & Page 2002).
